Ball control drills

To start off with a basic drill, you can dribble the ball through the cones using one foot caressing the ball with the inside of the foot as you go through the middle of one cone and moving the ball through the next gap with the outside of the foot. Then repeat this process through the number of cones you have set up.

Speed and agility

Starting from the left-middle marker, sprint to one end (10 yards), turn and immediately sprint to the other end (20 yards) and then to the finish marker (10 yards). Turn on a different foot at each marker and try to touch the ground with your hand.

Ball confidence and control

Defending drills

Defending team must have closest person to ball pressure immediately, and other two defenders provide cover. If pressuring defender is beaten, then covering defender must quickly come up to pressure, and intial pressuring defender reCOVERS. Patience on defense, closing attacker off to either sideline or where help is depending on where they are on the field.
